Boardshorts are totally ridiculous if you really swim..who wants to swim in a skirt...and they leave absurd tanlines....I live in Miami Beach and boardshorts are worn to the beach and often a coverup for a brief or squarecut for sunning.
For sportswear without a shirt, a boardshort play's up a guys chest and abs, making him look more naked...
