Hedi Slimane Designing for Diesel? GAP Artist Editions! Nicole Farhi Robbed! Tom Ford Does Opera!

Ever since Hedi Slimane left the helm of Dior Homme, rumors have been flying about his next big foray into fashion. Will he return to LVMH? Is he launching his own line? Is Hedi Slimane (who was spotted in Soho last weekend by your Stylelist) collaborating with Diesel? WWD reports today that Diesel rumors might be closer to reality than good old fashioned gossip. Today's issue says, "Diesel may be preparing to launch a Red Collection to be designed by Slimane." [WWD, British Vogue]

On May 13th, the GAP will roll out it's Artist Editions T-Shirts designed by contemporary artists like Chuck Close, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, Kiki Smith, Cai Guo-Qiang, Barbara Kruger, Ashley Bickerton, Kenny Scharf, Glenn Ligon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Kerry James Marshall, Hanna Liden and Sarah Sze. Designer Nicole Farhi was robbed at knife point at her home in London. The two muggers made off with a $15,800 ring, a watch and foreign currency. [NYP]

Tom Ford, superstar designer and quite possibly the sexiest man in fashion, designed the costumes for Santa Fe Opera’s production of The Letter. Ford is currently building a home in the area, so designing the clothes was the neighborly thing to do, right? [Queerty]
