Quickies: Pharrell Williams goes eco, Urban Outiftters against gay marriage? and more

Pharrell Williams has entered into a partnership with eco-friendly manufacturer Bionic Yarn.
The firm is dedicated to make environmentally sound fabrics and Williams will act as both an owner and investor in the company, as well as an ambassador and spokesman for the brand. Yeah, we totally saw this coming form someone like Pharrell Williams. [WWD]

Urban Outfitters pulls same-sex marriage t-shirts from their shelves.
Printed with the phrase "I support same-sex marriage" multiple times across the front of the shirt, the reason behind the yank is being attributed to "bad press." It is interesting to note, however, that Urban Outfitter CEO Richard Hayne is a right-wing Republican who supports senators who vote for legislation against gay marriage. That's fine -- we gays don't like shopping anyway. [The Cut]

Police in Tehran, Iran arrested 49 people for wearing "satanic" clothing.
In the ever increasing crackdown against Western influence, authroties "confronted rascals and thugs who appeared in public wearing satanic fashions and unsuitable clothing," Qaemshahr city police commander Mahmoud Rahmani told IRNA. [Reuters]

Despite economy woes, Abercrombie & Fitch is not lowering their prices. Shockingly, people aren't shopping there anymore. [WSJ]

McDonalds Makeover! Kanye West Raps for Casio! Sean Avery, the Intern! A&F Mania!

McDonalds employees in the UK got brand new uniforms with a pattern that looks a lot like Louis Vuitton's fleur pattern. I'm not sure what's stranger, that McDonalds employees will wear suits or the fact that they have a "front of house" staff? [Telgraph]

Kanye West is the only person who can perform at a Louis Vuitton party and then a Casio watch party without any sense of irony—or shame. The Casio party is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their G-Shock Watch. [WWD]

New York Rangers hockey jock Sean Avery will intern at Vogue this summer. Apparently, he wants to be a fashion editor after his hockey career ends and he doesn't have any teeth left. He'll be eating a slice of humble pie while making copies, messengering gowns and fetching coffee as an unpaid intern. But, unlike other interns, he made nearly $2 million playing with sticks on ice. I wouldn't mind being locked in a fashion closet with him. [WWD]

Abercrombie & Fitch's softcore porn magalog is back—in Europe! Queerty has some snapshots for your viewing pleasure.  [Queerty]

Does Barack Obama love Abercrombie or is he just trying to woo homos and frat boys by filling his audience with folks wearing A&F apparel? Sounds like a fashion conspiracy! [Queerty]

Abercrombie & Fitch will resume production on A&F Quarterly, the soft-core porn magalog that you secretly cherished more than your International Male mailer. Well, it will only be distributed in London. The company doesn't plan to distribute it in the U.S. at this time because the right wingers protested its booze, babes and homoerotic photos. Conservatives spoil all the fun! [Fashion Week Daily]

Is Justin Timberlake the new face of a new Givenchy fragrance? Who'd he sleep with to get that gig? Maybe Timbaland will save his ass on that project, too. [FWD Chic Report]

Fashionista is spreading dirt that Project Runway's finale will only feature 3 designers on the Fashion Week runways in February. Last season, four designers showed in Bryant Park. What does that say for this season's talent? [Fashionista]

Lacoste lost a copyright infringement case against a dentist in the U.K. who used a crocodile logo for his practice. The courts ruled that pearly whites are unlikely to get confused for pique polos. Come on, Lacoste, Britons have come a long way in dentistry in the recent years, don't mess with progress in oral health. [British Vogue]

No, Jude Law is NOT playing Halston in an upcoming film...yet. Law's handlers poo-pooed any ideas that the Sexiest Man Alive snagged the role. [WWD]

Abercrombie & Fitch Gets Hit By A Mob; Posh to Model for Marc Jacobs; Proactive's Acne-fighting Secret

Abercrombie and Fitch was attacked by a hairy, shirtless mob! In an act of love for Abercrombie & Fitch's flesh-heavy advertising and half-naked in-store models, Improv Everywhere rounded up 100 regular guys to shop shirtless at the New York City flagship store. Hilarity ensued and luckily it was all caught on film! [New York]

Is Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham going to be the new face of Marc Jacobs? According to a source, Jacobs chatted up the pop starlet about modeling his spring collection. Say it ain't so, Marc! [WWD]

Paying $60/month for Proactive to treat your acne? Look no further than your local drugstore for relief. Remember Oxy and Clearasil? Same thing. Your wallet will thank you. [NY Times]
