Quickies: A Rod ties the wrong knot, A Zoolander sequel? and more

A Rod is catching flack for wearing his scarf in a slip knot.
Spotted at Madonna's concert, many are calling it a styling faux pas because the slip knot is generally seen on women. Leave it to heteros to get all up in arms about a knot. The gays support you, sweetie. Slip knot on wich ya bad self!  [The Glamour Bee]

Ben Stiller claims a Zoolander sequel is in he works. Good because we still haven't perfect our Magnum. [The Cut]

Coming for Spring: A capsule collection from A.P.C. and K-Way.
Though it only includes three jackets and won't be available until January, the pieces are sleek and sexy. Hopefully it's merely a taste of what's to come. [Material Interest]

Jack Spade is opening a double store in NYC. One side will have all the Jack Spade bags you need, and the other? A Hobby Shop of course! Featuring a rotating collection of non-fashion cool things, first up will be bicycles. [Fashionista]

Open for business: NYC's biggest Zara ever on 42nd street.

Karl Lagerfeld Designs Dubai; A New Posterboy for Armani Already?; Gossip Girl Gossip: Ed Westwick To Design His Own Line?; Leo DiCaprio Tells Time for Charity; The Linda Farrow and Yohji Yamamoto Collaboration

Karl Lagerfeld is designing a few limited edition homes for Isla Moda, a fashion inspired (and seemingly fashion only) community under construction in Dubai.    [The Cut]

It seems like the Armani underwear ads with Mr. Becks have just reached their boiling point, but the label has already announced their new model for the Fall 08 ads.  His name is Takeshi Kaneshiro, and he is oh so delicious--and also the first Asian model for a major Armani ad campaign.  Hooray for diversity! [Fashionista]

Yes, everyone--another celebrity fashion line.  This time from Gossip Girl cast member Ed Westwick, who plays conniving and annoyingly over-the-top Chuck.  He says he wants to add his "two cents" to the label he wore for his Vanity Fair shoot, which would imply either Thom Browne or Jack Spade.  While we are more intrigued (and way excited) about the rumors that he and Chace Crawford (Nate) are real life lovers, we still have much higher hopes for his collaboration than Perez Hilton for Hot Topic.  Bleh. [Fashionista

Leonardo DiCaprio is working with his favorite watch designer, Jaeger-LeCoultre, to design time pieces for the Time to Care program, as well as develop a couple more to benefit the Leonardo DiCaprio Fund at the California Community Foundation. The timepieces will debut in fall 2008, and all proceeds from the sales will directly benefit the cause.  I'm moved by his initiative, but being that they retail for $300,000-400,000, I'm not feeling so charitable. [Fashion Week Daily]

Known and respected since the 70s, Linda Farrow sunglasses are known for a dark intense aesthetic that continues to peak the interest of the industry and consumers.  Now, the label is set to collaborate with Yohji Yomamoto in a pairing that is as exciting as it is ambiguous. [Refinery 29]

Dressing Up the Naked Cowboy; Writers Strike Red Carpet Fashion Fittings; Fashion Graffiti; Posh Worst Dressed in 2007

Times Square exhibitionist known as The Naked Cowboy (who wears boots, briefs and a hat) wore a jacket, making him the not-so-naked-cowboy. Weatherproof convinced the Manhattan tourist attraction to wear one of their coats for some photo-ops (and a grand). Next time, he'll start wearing Ginch Gonch underwear. [WWD]

The writers strike has designers scratching their heads and fitting celebrities for their Golden Globes outfits just in case the show goes according to the usual plans. Whatever happened to "The show must go on?" [NY Times]

Fashion graffiti hits Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. Brooks Brothers (hearts) Jack Spade. Hmmm... could this be a sign of a collaboration to come? After all, the graffiti is located near the Jack Spade store. [Fashionista]

Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham lands at the top of the Worst Dressed in 2007 list, in which Mr. Blackwell describes her style as, ""In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty 'Posh' can really wreck-em." That won't stop Posh and her other Spice rackers from sitting front row at Cavalli's show during Fashion Week. After all, he did design the costumes for the Spice Girls reunion tour. [Vogue UK]
