Kenneth Cole + HRC Gay Pride Tee

9488_HR_TSHIRTS As Gay Pride month moves along, the fashion industry is beginning to show its true colors. Kenneth Cole’s AWEARNESS -- a non-profit that supports, empowers and encourages acts of service, volunteerism and social change -- has partnered up with the Human Rights Campaign to design a limited edition t-shirt that reads: THOSE AGAINST SAME-SEX MARRIAGE AREN’T THINKING STRAIGHT (OR ARE THEY?) – KENNETH COLE.

The limited edition T-shirt will be sold at Kenneth Cole New York stores nationwide as well as Kennethcole.com and hrc.org. It for $35.00 with 100% of net proceeds going to the AWEARNESS FUND and HRC. And, if you want to show your support in person, KC will be hosting events in five cities during Gay Pride Week, with 20% of the nights proceeds going to the Human Rights Campaign:

Kenneth Cole Loves the Gays (and their Babies)

Kenneth Cole is always out to make a statement—especially in advertising. In the last 25 years, the company has used advertising to call attention to important social issues such as HIV and homelessness (while showing off the clothes, of course). So, for the company's 25th anniversary, Cole and company are celebrating diversity and hoping to dispel social prejudice  with an ad campaign that doesn't feature models but "bold, unexpected people of substance" (What does that mean exactly?) who  "live their lives in non-uniform ways." Among the non-models snapped by famed photog Terry Richardson are Regan Hoffman, an HIV positive magazine editor, and lesbian couple Joanna and Nicoletta Tessler with their adorable baby (see photo). Let's just hope the baby doesn't start demanding hair and makeup every morning before Mommy and Me class.

Who do you think deserves to be featured in a Kenneth Cole ad? Are you a "bold, unexpected person of substance"? Post a comment with your nominations!

Justin Timberlake sinks to new lows on our "Worst Dressed" list while seen in New York City wearing an oversized, 80s, cut-off sweatshirt that he must have borrowed from Jennifer Beals in Flashdance. Will somebody please get that man a stylist! [Pop Sugar]
