Pack This: How our favorite frequent fliers do it

Escape_002 Photography by Kang Kim

While we don't normally find ourselves jet-setting around the world for fashion shows, comedy gigs or press appearances, we can still glean a few helpful hints from those that are afforded such a glamorous life.

For the Out.com feature Great Escape, we questioned some of our favorite personalities for the bags (Tommy Fazio's Goyard Trolly PM), books (Nate Berkus' David Sedaris) and booze (Jackie Warner's Patron) that make a long trip to wherever almost as blissful as being there. Perhaps the best suggestion for keeping things pleasurable? Margaret Cho reminds us to always pack a vibrator. Duly noted.

Dispatches from Dubai!

Siteblockeddubai

Sorry for being so quiet these last few days, darlings! Your Stylelist escaped the winter squalls for sunny Dubai!

Unfortunately, the United Arab Emirates don't like the gays very much -- in fact, it's illegal. (Don't act so surprised! It was illegal in Texas  and a few other states not too long ago.) To demonstrate their disapproval for us queers, they've blocked most gay websites from being  accessed from within the borders of the UAE! I can't get Out.com, Advocate.com or our blogging site to load, and other sites give you the less-than-friendly image and message above, which reads:

"We apologize the site you are attempting to visit has been blocked  due to its content being inconsistent with the religious, cultural, political and moral values of the United Arab Emirates."

So, my dearest sister Shana at Popnography has generously offered to post my scattered scribbling!

If you're not familiar with Dubai, it's one of (if not the) fastest growing cities in the world! It has become a business and tourism hub  of the Middle East -- with these incredible development projects. Want to buy a piece of an archipelago of man-made islands that resemble the  continents of the world? How about one that is shaped like a palm tree  that is visible from space? How about skiing down snow-covered slopes in the middle of the desert?

Well, your Stylelist is getting the inside scoop of this crazy town! Stay tuned for some more on Dubai!

We Don't Seriously Think You Should Bring Ecstasy Pills Onto An Airplane...

74008617 but if you were to give it a try, Hed Kandi's Boeing 757 would probably be your best bet. It's a collaboration between the UK's Hed Kandi dance music label and Monarch Airlines, and will connect sun-starved Britons with the island of Ibiza. And we all know what happens on Ibiza. The party, of course, starts the moment you've fastened your seatbelt. 74008474_2 Love the uniforms, ladies, but will there be any gents passing out peanuts?

Stylelist in no way advocates illegal drug use, just to be clear!

A Friendlier Flight?

Hellokitty
Eva Air unveils the first-ever hello-kitty aircraft, which will regularly ply the skies above Japan. The website offers this decoder of the fuselage art:

"On the left of the aircraft under "EVA Air Hello Kitty," Kitty stands nearest the cockpit beside her friend Kathy, the white rabbit. Rory, the yellow squirrel, frolics on the engine. Tim and Tammy and Kitty's family are featured in the same positions as on the other side of the aircraft."

Inside Kitty's plane flight attendants will wear Hello Kitty ribbons in their hair, and of course passengers will get Hello Kitty luggage tags.
